Kathy, I am so sorry I couldn't stay for the funeral. I had fully intended to do so......I was unable to contain myself when the tears started flowing, I knew it would only get worse. I kept getting flash backs. I guess it's still too soon.
I pray God gives you the strength to go through time time of sorrow, without too much pain. With His help and your family, I know you will be okay. I know the kids are grieving also and miss him too. Just support each other and that will make it easier.
God bless...........Loynee

It's so hard to even put into words the way I remember Uncle Dave. I am so sadden by this loss, and it's so hard to understand why. I would like for your family to know everyone is in our prayers each and everyday. Uncle Dave was one of the most loving, and caring people anyone could imagined knowing. His passing is hurting alot of people but none of us could imagine what your family fills. Me and the boys love you all very much and will pray that your pain may ease at some point. I just know Uncle Dave is sitting in Heaven and remembering just like us about special moments in his life, which your family is those main memories. I also know hes looking back and grinning after all the stuff me and christy put Aunt Kat and him through and know matter how worried we were about him being mad at us ,he still had that big teddy bear side to him. You will be sadly missed Uncle Dave:( Tammy, Billy2, Drake, and Blazer

To all Of you I Love so much, I remember so many fun times with Dave, but one special time was when my sis and I was at Nickys and we saw Dave working next door and we secretly named him Paul Bunyon because we thought he was hot. The flannel shirt jeans and workboots. Kathy and Dave went from there to a great live and family. I have many memories I think of. I will always remember such a great man and how great he was with his family we all Love him very much. My love always, Carol

Our Prayers are with the Family. Man is measured by many things but most important is how he helps others and tends his Family. Dave was number one in both. The unselfish acts of kindness you displayed to not only the Landry clan but to all who needed you is a testament to life lived at its best. God Bless and see you on the other side.
P.S. Stop pulling against my Cowboys you have an unfair advantage now. Adios
