March 8, 1943 - July 1, 2010

Millard Glen Gray, 67, of Lumberton died suddenly of heart failure on July 1, 2010.  Born in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Patricia Shideler and United States Army Colonel, Millard Glen Gray, on March 8, 1943, he received a degree in Business Administration from Drake University. Glen lived in Lumberton since May 2008, when a heart attack caused a medical retirement from Homeland Security.  Prior to that he had been an accomplished airline pilot for thirty-five years with such airlines as Hawaiian Air and MidPacific Air. He spent twenty-six years in Hawaii. He also is known in Lumberton for his work during tax season with H & R Block.

 

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Crockette Gray of Lumberton; daughters, Farrah Lane Blaud of Gilbert, Arizona, Vanessa Crockette of Jacksonville, Florida, and Megan Gray of Lumberton; sons, Ryan Crockette of Washington, D.C. and Millard Glen Gray III of Lumberton; brother, Andrew Gray of Gainesville, Florida; sister, Beverly Gray of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren, Kyrie Ortiz, twins, Brandie and Bradley Gray, Brendan Gray, Elijah Crockette, and Chance Blaud.

 

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Lumberton under the direction of Broussardís, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be following the service.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 7015, Beaumont, Texas 77726.
