Mary Elaine Mouton, 63, of Winnie, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at her residence after a lengthy illness under the care of Odyssey Hospice. She was born August 4, 1949, in Church Point, Louisiana to Mary Joyce Barron and Burley Joseph Miller.

Elaine was a former telephone operator and worked several years at the Texaco Gulf Coast Market, Winnie, was an excellent cook, seamstress, artist, and was very crafty. She was known for her baking, beautiful gift wrapping and handmade bows. Elaine enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Hutton and his wife, Renea of Indiana; daughter, Shelly Beckett and her husband, Johnny of Winnie; step-sons, Ricky Mouton, Jr. of Baytown; Shannon Mouton of Winnie; Jamey Mouton of Mt. Belvieu; and Joe Mouton of Anahuac; step-daughter, Misty Clark of Vidor; grandchildren, Brennan Beckett, Kennedy Beckett, and Brittany Castille; nine step-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Miller of Ohio and Jerome Miller; sister, Sharon  “Shy” Posey both of Winnie; and numerous other family members and friends.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ricky Mouton; step-father, Robert Barger; sister, Tina Foote; and brother, Tony Miller.

A gathering of Elaine’s family and friends will be 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, with a rosary recited at 4:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Mrs. Mouton’s funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Broussard’s. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
